Skin Care Tips

Tip 1

Implore a Daily Skin Care Regimen. The following steps are
adequate to maintain or restore healthy skin:
• Cleanse twice daily with a gentle facial skin product for your skin type or all
skin types that will not only clean but will nourish and soothe the skin.
Products with Vitamins A, E and C help restore skin cells and provide
antioxidants
• Tone twice daily with a gentle face toner for your skin type. Toning
completes the skin cleansing process by removing and enhances your skin's
appearance
• Moisturize after toning (let toner dry) with a moisturizer for your skin type.
• Exfoliate with a gentle face scrub at least once a week. Skin cell turnover
time is approximately 3-5 days.

• Decongest- Oily skin requires a clay based mask (will harden when dry) once
per week to decongest the pores of blackheads and whiteheads. Normal to
Dry skin should use a softer, gentler mask with extra hydrating properties.
Note- Never leave home without protecting your skin from the sun; use a
sunscreen product w/ a minimum of SPF30. (to be applied before the moisturizer)

Tip 2
Keep your hands out of your face! This one can not be stressed
enough. You do not want to transfer the germs from your hands to your face.
Constantly touching the face may cause skin irritation.

Tip 3

Ladies - Always remove your makeup before going to bed. Use a
gentle eye makeup remover.

Tip 4

The following suggestions may be helpful for misbehaving skin:
Dry Skin
• Limit your bathing & shower time to no more than 5 minutes. After
showering or washing hands, leave skin slightly moist and apply a
moisturizer right after.
• Use heavier skin creams/lotions during the winter months and lighter
skin care creams/lotions in the summer.
• Severe cases should seek the help of a board certified dermatologist.

Tip 5

Don't walk around barefoot or wear footwear without socks on.
This can cause foot funguses and dry cracked feet.

Tip 6

Drink 1/2 your body weight in ounces of water daily. Water
does wonders for your skin. It helps transport toxins from your cells too. Did you
know your body is composed of about 75% water?

Tip 7

In the winter, the heat in your home can dry your skin out. Try
a cool mist humidifier which will add moisture to the air and help keep your skin from
drying out.

Tip 8

Minimize your stress. It can lead to skin acne among other things.

Tip 9

Heard of the old saying, "You are what you eat?" It's true.Check your eating. A healthy balanced diet will benefit your skin as well. Consume
healthy natural oils such as olive oil in moderation.

Tip 10

It's not wise to regularly change the brand of products you
use. Consistently introducing different or harsh ingredients to your skin may cause
skin irritation.
